100/52 — 100 of the most beloved characters in the DC comics reboot series of ‘The New 52’ from 2011, remade into modernistic tiles. This is a warped take of a self-promotion brief. Rather than focusing on himself, Sam Castle-Twyford directed the brief around a passion in the character recognition within DC Comics. Taking 100 of his favourite characters and turning them into individual, promotional cards, Sam is able to share the depth of his own interests with others, through character biographies and facts located on the back of each card. Sam designed the cards to ether be recognised by the icon colour combinations, as well as having the viewers discover something new through connecting with the combinations of colours. The cards include Sam’s contact information, allowing people to connect with their favourite character, and through their designer Sam.
